Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday. Luckily, we found the perfect pumpkin before it started raining. Brooklyn had a great time and cried when it was time to go home.

Brooklyn now spends lots of time playing with her dolls. She loves to put "Dolly" in our highchair, feed her, wrap her in a blanket, carry her around, and dress her in baby clothes and shoes. She also loves to read and we constantly find her with stacks of books. She also likes to lick frosting and sprinkles off cookies.

Tractor Swingers

We enjoyed watching the Middle Creek Tractor Swingers at the Apple Festival.

"Hay" Day at Apple Harvest Festival

Yesterday, we went to the "National" Apple Harvest Festival. As you can see, Brooklyn had a great time. She enjoyed the petting zoo, the square-dancing tractors, and her first time riding a school bus (which took us from the parking area to the fairgrounds). We had to leave early when Kirsten was called into work. Bummer.

Still Having Lots of Fun at Daycare

Brooklyn is really enjoying the many activities at her daycare and being around children her age. She plays hard and sleeps hard (sometimes 2-1/2 hours on a cot). She comes home in such a happy mood and laughs and talks all night before bed.

Today her teacher wrote this on her note home: "Noticed a lot of talking today. Played w/ babies and putting the blanket down and laying the baby doll in and covering her up and then hugging the doll and rocking it back and forth in her arms."

New Car Seat, But Still Rear-Facing

Brooklyn had her 15-month check-up recently. She's tall and petite. We were hoping she'd weigh-in at 20 lbs. so we could face her car seats forward but we'll have to wait a little longer. And, she's too tall for her infant car seat.
